We get into the failure of the Texas electrical grid (the de-regulated part, anyway) and ask why are certain industries not treated as utilities in the United States? Why is it the taxpayer supports utter, abject failure? Not only in leadership, but in poor corporate decisions involving, investment, wage increases, and stock buy backs, the U.S. is having other countries eat its lunch. The Texas grid fiasco, compared to vast parts of the state, that chose to stay on the national grid, is yet another example of what has gone seriously wrong with the Free Market myth.
